The Ambassador Julio Garro, Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Peru, is a career diplomat with a history of 40 years in the service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru.
He has been Ambassador of Peru in Mexico (2016-2021) and Consul General in London (2007-2012). In addition, he has served in the Embassies of Peru, Chile and the united States, as well as the Permanent representative of Peru to the United Nations in New York.
His experience within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru includes positions as Director-General of America, Director General for Multilateral Affairs and Global Director-General of the Cabinet of the Deputy minister and National Coordinator of the CELAC and the Ibero-american Summit, among others.
She has a Masters degree in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Boston, 1997). In addition, the Diploma of the Institut International d'administration Publique (Paris, 1986) and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Diplomatic Academy of Peru (1983). He studied at the École Nationale d'administration (ENA) in Paris (Crisis Management, 2005) and in the Faculty of Theology, Pontifical and Civil Lima (Academic Program of Systematic Theology, 1979-1980).
